The addition of a new weather system to iRacing as part of the 2024 Season 2 build will also bring a revolution to iRacing’s AI content. Wet-weather single-player and hosted AI racing will debut with the new release, while additional AI unlocks will include 11 track configurations over four courses and the all-new Super Formula Lights car.
Upon release of the build, all of the content enabled for forecasted and timeline weather—the IMSA GTP and GT3 lineups, Dallara P217 LMP2, FIA Formula 4, Ray FF1600, and Toyota GR86—can now be used with the feature on all AI-enabled road racing tracks. This means you can practice racing in the rain before taking on other competitors in online play.
Next up, all of Season 2’s new road racing content will be unlocked for AI use immediately. On the track side, this includes all four configurations at Portugal’s Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (Portimão), and all five configurations at Italy’s Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Joining them is the new-for-2024 Super Formula Lights car, which will make its real-world racing debut at Mobility Resort Motegi in late April—and which will also be rain-enabled.
Wrapping up the list of content that will be newly unlocked for AI are the final missing configurations for Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) and Sebring International Raceway. Imola’s Moto layout and Sebring’s Modified layout will be unlocked for AI play moving forward.
