The third and final leg of the General Tire eShort Course Triple Crown, Jim Beaver eSports’ all-star iRacing event series featuring off-road trucks, sees the world’s top sim racers and popular celebrity entries take on Crandon International Raceway for the Pro 4 Open. The event, featuring action sports icons Travis Pastrana and Jim DeChamp, NFL All-Pro Kyle Long, and NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Sheldon Creed among an entry list of more than 50 names, airs on the CBS Sports Network on Thursday, March 17 at 9PM ET/6PM PT. Pastrana and DeChamp, racing together in Maryland, will make appearances in the commentary booth as part of the broadcast.

Following the spectacular debut of Stewart-Haas eSports in the previous eShort Course Pro 2 event from Detroit, Long’s Mode Motorsports group becomes the latest eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series team to join Jim Beaver eSports in the series with Long himself joining eNASCAR driver Cody Byus and Glynn Rockefeller Jr. in a three-truck entry. The Mode trio joins JBeS’ own eNASCAR driver pairing of Blake Reynolds and Michael Guest in representing that series, while the iRacing Rallycross World Championship has its own slate of representative drivers including Jakob Rafoss, Connor Parise, and Josh Fox.

The season-ending visit to Crandon marks the third straight year that eShort Course has sent Pro 4 off-road trucks to The Big House for one of its events. Shortly following the track’s release on iRacing in September 2020, Jim Beaver eSports organized the inaugural eShort Course Crandon World Cup, which was won by Luke Knupp. Holden Heitritter won the 2021 World Cup round at Crandon in the Pro 4s to clinch that year’s World Cup as well.

The winning driver of the General Tire eShort Course Pro 4 Triple Crown race at Crandon will receive an automatic berth in the 2023 eShort Course World Cup. Previously, JBeS drivers Connor Barry, Josh Edmundson, and Cam Pedersen swept the top three positions in 2022 World Cup points to clinch their spots in 2023, while Steven Wilson’s win in Detroit was good for a 2023 World Cup berth as well. Remaining berths for next year’s event will be determined by invitation only, with both top sim racers and real-world pros invited to take part.

Following the conclusion of the General Tire eShort Course Triple Crown, many of the event’s top drivers will look to qualify for iRacing’s first annual Off-Road Championship Series coming in June. Jim Beaver eSports drivers and many of their top eShort Course rivals will take on the Pro 4 truck in an eight-event professional series with a $25,000 purse on the line.

Tune in to the CBS Sports Network on Thursday, March 17 at 9PM ET/6PM PT for exclusive television coverage of the 2022 Jim Beaver eSports General Tire eShort Course Pro 4 Triple Crown. Following the CBSSN broadcasts, races will be available for on-demand viewing on iRacing’s YouTube channel.
