The Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series kicks off a six-race chase towards a real-world ride in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series, a prize valued at $500,000, with a visit to Lime Rock Park this Sunday at 3PM ET. The race can be seen live at iRacing.com/live and across iRacing and Skip Barber social media channels.

Continuing a long-standing relationship with the Skip Barber Racing School, the path to iRacing’s latest open-wheel series starts with a Time Attack session to kick off all six of its race weeks. The top 20 eligible qualifiers then receive coaching from real Skip Barber Racing School instructors leading up to race day on Sunday afternoon, which takes drivers to six real-world tracks from the Formula Race Series and host tracks for additional Skip Barber racing programs.

The full Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series schedule is as follows:

March 20: Lime Rock Park

March 27: VIRginia International Raceway

April 3: Watkins Glen International

April 10: WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

April 17: Road America

April 24: Sebring International Raceway

Qualifying drivers each receive a one-time $200 SBRS credit, with a random driver from each week’s list of 20 qualifiers receiving a 1-day Racing School. The top three finishers in season-long points each receive a 5-Day Competition License Racing School and SBRS coaching, with third place getting a single round in the Formula Race Series, second place running half of the season, and first place getting to contest the full schedule.

The list of qualifying drivers for the opening round at Lime Rock Park includes a diverse group of iRacing’s top drivers. eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series mainstay Matt Bussa, who nearly won the most recent round in that series in Atlanta this week and boasts experience in multiple other iRacing pro series, is on the entry list, as are Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup veteran Salva Talens and 2022 iRacing Daytona 24 top split winner Mikkel Gade. Drivers looking to qualify for subsequent rounds can visit skipbarber.com/iracing-series/ to register before turning their hot laps in iRacing’s Time Attack system on Monday through Wednesday. Registration is $20 per event.

Next week’s Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series event will take drivers to VIRginia International Raceway, which boasts 3.27 miles and 17 turns to challenge even the most determined of sim racers. For more information on iRacing and for special offers, visit www.iRacing.com.
