The 2023 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup season kicks off with a return to Germany’s Hockenheimring Baden-Wurttemberg, the same venue where it opened last year’s thrilling campaign. Live streaming of the iRacing series for top esports pros will kick off on Saturday at 19:00 GMT (2PM ET) via Porsche’s channels on YouTube and Twitch, while the All-Star series will directly precede it at 18:00 GMT (1PM ET).

About the Series: The Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup enters its fifth season in 2023. A $200,000 purse is on the line over the 10-round season, which will see top global gamers take on the world’s finest racing circuits in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. With points on the line in both sprint and feature races, drivers will need to be consistent all season long in hopes of dethroning defending champion Diogo Pinto. Each round will also be preceded by the popular All-Stars series, in which real-world pros, top Twitch streamers, and more will engage in battles of their own.

Last Season: Real-world racer Ayhancan Guven pulled away from a heated late-race battle behind him to win last year’s PESC opening round from Hockenheim. He would later finish second in last year’s ADAC GT Masters points thanks in part to a win at the real-world track. Graham Carroll and Jeremy Bouteloup would complete the podium, while eventual series champion Pinto would finish fourth.

Track Facts: Hockenheimring Baden-Wurttemberg boasts nearly a full century of racing history, ranging from the German Grand Prix to countless other sports car, open-wheel, and even motorcycle events. Altered dramatically over the years, the current layout is Hockenheim’s shortest, with the Grand Prix circuit limited to 2.842 miles despite originating as a seven-mile course in the 1930s and spending most of its history at more than four miles long. iRacing’s version of Hockenheim features 10 layouts, including four Porsche Experience Center circuits in the infield that put driver ability and vehicle handling alike to the test.

Next Up: Following Hockenheim, the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup heads to Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, one of iRacing’s newest additions and therefore a new addition to the series. The track has hosted both the French Grand Prix and numerous major motorcycle races. Coverage will kick off on Saturday, February 18 at 18:00 GMT (1PM ET) with the All-Star action, before the pros do battle at 19:00 GMT (2PM ET).
