Get ready for a new season of iRacing with our 2024 Season 4 build! Featuring three new cars, two new tracks, and the usual host of performance updates, the new season should have a little something for everyone. Here’s a look at what to expect:
BMW M4 G82 GT4: BMW’s latest M4 GT4 has been a world-beater for the past two years, and it joins our GT4 grid in multi-class series. F82 GT4 owners who have recently purchased the car will receive credit compensation, but the F82 variant will still be supported as part of the Production Car Challenge.
Mini Stock and Dirt Mini Stock: This sporty new oval car comes FREE with your iRacing subscription. It features a 2.3-liter engine producing upwards of 200 horsepower, and it’s been built for both paved and dirt oval racing.
Cadwell Park Circuit: One of England’s most prominent motorcycle and smaller four-wheel racing tracks, Cadwell offers four unique configurations. Be sure to try it out this Week 13 with the Legends car!
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: We’ve rescanned Spa for 2024, with four all-new configurations. If you already own the old version of Spa, you’ll get the new versions for FREE; if you’re buying Spa for the first time, you’ll get the old scan, too!
Circuit Zolder: We’ve got a fresh art update for Zolder for this season, bringing it up to our current visual standards.
Rain Racing: Along with the M4 G82 GT4, the TCR class, Ford Mustang FR500S, and Renault Clio have all been rain-enabled for the new season. In addition, we’ve added a spotty rain option for timeline weather mode when building a race session, which will simulate more scattered showers.
AI Racing: New for this season, you’ll have the ability to launch an AI session from an Official session with AI-enabled cars to get in some practice before joining an online multiplayer race. Also joining the AI-enabled roster are the new paved cars and all configurations for Cadwell and the Spa re-scan.
New Multi-Class Official Series Distributed Splits Algorithm: This new algorithm, in use for selected series, will improve manufacturer diversity while also maintaining optimal competitive grouping, creating more realistic looking grids.
Tire Pre-Conditioning: For standing starts, cars will have pre-warmed tires and brakes from a simulated parade lap, allowing for a better start experience.
Natural Clutch Variance: A small natural bite variance will create minuscule natural variations and a more realistic experience.
New Environment Sounds Audio Codec: Our new audio codec requires less storage space while maintaining high quality, giving you the same audio quality you expect with a smaller overall file size.
Shared Lone Qualify Replay: You’ll now be able to watch all other drivers’ qualifying laps in your replays.
